Our Mission

Educate and empower our community on the identification and removal of invasive species to promote native and diverse habitats.

Our objectives:

Weed Wrangle® events for the removal of invasive species.
Land surveys in our community to identify invasive species.
Education regarding invasive species identification, removal, and control.
Promotion of native species and the protection of diverse habitats.

Click on the link to request a survey of your property and our team will contact you. Our trained volunteers will walk your property with you to identify both invasive and native species of plants/trees and can compile a management plan for you.

BCIC (in partnership with Boone County Soil and Water Conservation District and Beautify Boone) is working to reduce homeowners costs for removing large invasive trees. We need data to launch the initiative. If you have large Tree of Heaven or Callery Pear on your property please scan the QR code or click the above link to tell us how this initiative would be helpful to you!

Register your local beautification initiative to be a BEAUTIFY BOONE project!
If your project inspires collective action and stewardship to preserve and enhance Boone County through sustainability and environmental education the Beautify Boone Initiative could help your organization seek volunteers, provide supplies and share opportunities for grants. We will also highlight your initiative on social media!
