National Moth Week happens at the end of July and we are celebrating with our next event on Saturday, August 15!  Join us at Pleasant Acres, the park where our team has been doing ongoing habitat restoration work.  We are partnering with Jamestown Parks to host another free community movie night, featuring a special screen of the The Extraordinary Caterpillar.  This tunning documentary offers a peek into the dazzling world of nature's tiniest superheroes and the vital role they plat in our biodiversity.  After the film, stay for a "mothing" session led by local expert Janet Jaskula.  

Mothing is the study and observation of nocturnal moths (the grown-up counterparts to some of the extraordinary caterpillars!).  After dark, we will set up specialized light stations to safely attract local moth species, allowing us to observe them up close.  

What to Bring:  Lawn chairs or blankets for seating & Flashlights/Headlamps to navigate the park safely after dark.
